TheAlliance française de La Paz is a cultural and educational institution with a long history, deeply committed to the city's cultural development. Since its foundation in 1923, it has served as a bridge between Bolivia and France, promoting linguistic, artistic and cultural exchanges. Part of an international network present in over 130 countries, it is recognized in Bolivia as a key player in strengthening Franco-Bolivian relations.
In the educational field, it offers a wide range of French courses for all ages and levels: children, teenagers and adults. These include conversation workshops, specialized programs and preparation for international exams. As the only accredited center in Bolivia, it administers the DELF, DALF, DELF Junior and TEF international exams. These are recognized worldwide and open up academic and professional opportunities throughout the French-speaking world.
On the cultural front, it offers a varied, accessible and free program throughout the year: exhibitions, concerts, trade fairs, conferences, workshops and celebrations such as the Mois de la Francophonie and the Fête de la Musique. AF also makes cultural resources available to the public via the Culturethèque digital platform and a media library offering a variety of resources in French.
Present in La Paz for over a century, the Alliance Française contributes to enriching the city's artistic and educational landscape, reaffirming its vocation to build cultural bridges by strengthening dialogue, creativity and access to education for all.
