France Alumni Day Bolivia 2025: An IMPACT event!

On Thursday June 26, 2025, the first France Alumni Day in Bolivia was held in the gallery of theAlliance Française de La Paz, bringing together a diverse community ofalumni in the presence of the Bolivian authorities and numerous personalities from the academic world. The event was part of a series of events held throughout Bolivia, culminating in the"Impact" art exhibition.

After a presentation of thealumni concept and the various mobility programs by the Campus France national coordinator and the university cooperation officer, three alumni and a future scholarship holder shared their experiences:

  • Mauricio Céspedes, former French government scholarship holder and former vice-minister of science and technology, now head of entrepreneurship and innovation at UMSA,
  • Horacio Vera Loza, former exchange student and CEO of Delizia.
  • Raúl Miranda, former language assistant, in charge of urban mobility in Paris.
  • Laura Relos, French government scholarship holder and future student at Toulouse III University.

The first part of the evening concluded with a speech by José Apala, Vice-Minister of Education in charge of higher education and vocational training.

The second part of the evening saw the inauguration of the "Impact" exhibition.

"Impact" is an original proposal to showcase the careers of 13 alumni from a variety of backgrounds and trajectories.

Each portrait consists of an artistic proposal (drawing) showing two moments in thealumna 's life "before" studying in France and "after" studying in France.after" studying in France, as well as a short text summarizing thealumna 's background and the artist's inspiration. Interviews lasting around 3 minutes, published on YouTube, can be accessed via a QR code.

This event is the first in a national promotion cycle materialized by "Impact", which will be exhibited for two weeks in galleries in the country's 3 other AF: Cochabamba, Sucre and Santa Cruz, in conjunction with Campus France Bolivie.
